Paul Dermine

Paul Dermine (1989) holds degrees in Law (2010, 2012) and Political Sciences (2012) from the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium), and a postgraduate degree in European Studies from the College of Europe (2013, Inbev-Baillet-Latour scholar). Between 2013 and 2015, Paul has been combining a position as Lecturer in Public Law at the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium) and a position as Junior Associate at the Brussels Bar (Stibbe LLP). Paul also holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) from New York University School of Law, where he served as a Hauser Global Scholar during the academic year 2015-2016, while conducting research in EU law under the supervision of Pr Gráinne de Búrca. In December 2016, he was admitted to the Brussels Bar.

Paul joined the Law Faculty in September 2016 as a PhD candidate. A member of Maastricht Center for European Law, he will carry out doctoral research on the new socio-economic governance of the European Union, under the supervision of Professors Monica Claes and Elise Muir.
