<\/a>\u00a0Joanna Osiejewicz is Assistant Professor and Head of the Legal Communication Laboratory at the Faculty of Law and Administration, University in Zielona Gora, Poland. She teaches, amongst others, \u201cLegal Communication\u201d, \u201cEuropean Union law\u201d, \u201cIntroduction to German Law\u201d. She is also Head of postgraduate studies \u201cEnergy Law\u201d and \u201cLegal Translation Studies\u201d at the University in Zielona Gora, which provide original programs for graduates. She was a visiting professor at the Faculty of Legal and Social Sciences of the Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid (2016).<\/p>\nShe studied German Philology and Law (Pass with Distinction). She is also a graduate of Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Studies for Translators at the University of Warsaw (2007). She holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics (University of Warsaw, Faculty of Applied Linguistics, 2010) and a PhD in International and European Law (Lazarsky University in Warsaw, Faculty of Law and Administration, 2013).<\/p>\n
She has published extensively, internationally and nationally, with a focus on: energy law; data protection and new technologies law; legal communication; as well as the role of legal and specialized translation in shaping law at the international and the national level.<\/p>\n
Joanna Osiejewicz is a qualified attorney and a member of the District Bar Council in Warsaw. Her professional expertise includes national and cross-border liability, as well as application of international law and EU law to national law cases. She is enrolled into the ministerial list of sworn translators for German in Poland. She can speak Polish, German, English, Russian and Spanish.<\/p>\n
